Suppressed Diagnostic Messages

The following warnings were suppressed in the IAR projects in OCSDK rev 1.1.0.8 or earlier in order to minimize warnings generated by library calls. These may mask problems in your code, so you may elect to enable individual diagnostics when troubleshooting your application.   You should not need to suppress any warnings in OCSDK 1.2.0.1 or later.

Linker Warnings

The latest available revisions of the stack libraries were built with IAR 7.x.  If you use IAR 8.x to build your OCSDK application, you will see a linker warning similar to the following:

Linking

⚠️ Warning[Lt009]: Inconsistent wchar_t size

ucos_ii.obj(libucos_full.a) and 251 other objects in 250 different libraries have wchar_t size 16 bits

cli_task.o and 28 other objects, some of them in dl7M_tln.a and 9 other libraries have wchar_t size 32 bits

Performing Post-Build Action

The OCSDK and stack library do not use wchar_t, so is is safe to ignore this warning. You can suppress it as follows:

  • In Project->Options->Linker→Diagnostics, select Suppress these diagnostics and specify Lt009
