See the temperature data published by the motes

• Connect you SmartMesh IP manager to your computer.

• Turn your SmartMesh IP manager on.

• Turn on all your motes, and what for them to join your manager.

• In the TempMonitor application, select “network type: SmartMesh IP” and click “load”

• In the “manager connection” frame, in the “port name” field, enter the API port of your SmartMesh IP manager. A table appears which lists the motes in your network

• what are the temperatures of your motes?

• Compare that to other groups

• Place a mote on a hot/cool area and make sure the reported temperature changes

Get the publish rate

• get the current publish rate of a mote by pressing the "get" button. What is the default value?

• Verify that value with your stopwatch

Set the publish rate

• using the "set" button, configure the mote to publish a temperature reading every 5 s.
• After a couple of minutes, make sure this more publishd more data than the others motes in the network

Toggle the blue LED of your motes

• using the "toggle led" button, make sure you can toggle the status LED on all motes
